2. Core principle: this is a public platform

Powerlifting Wikipedia is a public wiki. Everything you post yourself — your profile, name, photo, biography, training details, results, and video links — is visible to anyone worldwide and will be indexed by search engines. You decide what you publish; the only mandatory profile fields are your first and last name. The legal basis is your consent, given by actively submitting the content (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

As is standard for wikis, every edit is stored in a publicly visible revision history together with the username and a timestamp.

3. User accounts

An account is required for editing. We store: your username (public), your password (encrypted as a hash), and optionally your email address (not public; used only for password resets). Legal basis: performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4. Technical data and cookies

When you visit this site, our server automatically processes your IP address, the time of access, the page requested, and your browser identifier (server logs, deleted after 14 days at the latest). We only use technically necessary cookies (session cookies for login). There is no tracking, no analytics, and no advertising. Legal basis: legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Hosting

This site is hosted by DigitalOcean LLC in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. A data processing agreement is in place with DigitalOcean.

6. Embedded videos

YouTube: Result videos are embedded via youtube-nocookie.com (enhanced privacy mode). A connection to Google servers is only established once you play a video; at that point Google may process data such as your IP address. See the Google privacy policy.

Movement analyses: Some results include analysis videos (bar path, body landmarks) loaded from our partner service api.moserab.com. These videos are only shown if the athlete concerned has actively published them; publication can be revoked at any time.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact the email address above.

Note on erasure: You can empty your own profile and result pages at any time, or ask the administrators to delete them completely, including the revision history. Simply email us with your username.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

8. Minors

Registration is only permitted from the age of 16.
